What players love
The quest design and world charm hold up over 100 hours — the Shivering Isles and Daedric questlines are what veterans replay.

"This was a pretty good time, Oblivion is a near timeless classic and the Remaster is very pretty and quite fun. The devs haven't updated the game in a year and glitches are common, and getting to run good is a matter of luck and modding, but I had a good time and I would recommend."

"I've played this entire game on my steam deck so far and it's a great remaster and worth the price. At the time of this review I am 102 hours in and just now starting the main story. Also do yourself a favor and keep the difficulty on adept unless you enjoy suffering."

"They just made the graphics better and fixed some bugs. If only every old great game could get this treatment."

What frustrates them
The stutter and crash-riddled UE5 port is the wall long-time players hit, made worse by a year of silence from the devs.

"Step. 1) Launch the game Step 2) FPS in between 20 and 400 on main menu Step 3) Stutter so hard it's unplayable Step 4) Close and relaunch game Step 5) Game runs fine Step 6) Lose will to live, and go play Crimson Desert instead Step 7) ??? Step 8) Profit"

"This game was abandoned with many performance issues and bugs after literally two updates, left at the mercy of players who will fix it with mods anyway. Typical Bethesda move."
